EMPOWERMENT TECHNOLOGY
Gabrielle Adarna
🖥️ Introduction
Empowerment Technology has been one of the most eye opening subjects I’ve experienced in senior high school. Before taking this subject, I only had a basic idea of how technology affects our daily lives. But throughout the semester, I’ve learned that technology is not just about using computers or social media it’s about how we can use it responsibly and creatively to empower ourselves and others.
💡 Body
One of my biggest takeaways from this subject is digital literacy. I’ve learned how important it is to evaluate information we find online and how to use technology in ethical and productive ways. From creating documents, presentations, and websites, to understanding online safety, these skills will truly help me in both my studies and future career.
Another memorable experience was creating our own website and blog. At first, I was nervous because it seemed difficult, but as we went through the process step by step, I realized that designing a website is actually fun and creative. I enjoyed exploring colors, layouts, and writing my own posts that reflect who I am.
We also learned about online collaboration tools, like Google Workspace and Canva, which made group projects easier and more organized. Through these, I learned the value of teamwork, time management, and communication in a digital space.
🌈 Conclusion
Empowerment Technology taught me that being “empowered” means being capable, informed, and responsible when using digital tools. It’s not just about being tech-savvy it’s about using technology to make a positive difference.
As I look back on all the lessons and experiences, I’m grateful for how this subject helped me grow not just as a student, but as a digital citizen. I will carry these skills and memories with me as I continue to explore the ever-changing world of technology.
